500 g beef lean mince

1 onion

1 carrot

1 celery stalk

1 garlic cloves

400 g can chopped tomatoes

2 tbsp tomato purée

1 tsp dried oregano

200 g wholemeal spaghetti*

1 tbsp parmesan cheese grated


1. Chop onions, carrots, celery and crush garlic. Heat a wok and place the beef into the pan and stir-fry over high heat until brown
2. Add the onion, carrot and garlic. Stir over medium heat for 1 minute, then add the tomato puree and chopped tomatoes. Stir well, then add the oregano and seasoning. Cook over medium heat so that the sauce boils gently, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes or until thick.
3. While the sauce is cooking, cook the spaghetti as per package instructions.
4. Use parmesan cheese to coat over (optional).
