Edel & Marie

We are Edel and Marie, 2 sisters.  We are both busy mums and understand how you can be the last person on your priority list.  This is how our business came about.  After Marie had her 2nd child who was born with Cystic Fibrosis her world changed forever and as a result of stress, emotional eating and no time to exercise her health began to suffer.  Eventually after a lot of persuading she joined a gym with Edel and together we did up a meal plan that suited her and her busy life.  The weight started to come off and her energy level increased and was able to start to deal with her daughter’s diagnosis with proper support.

When we make time for our wellbeing by making changes to our diet, exercise, and daily habits we can make a dramatic impact on our overall health, mood, and energy levels.

I am Marie, Mum of 2 girls aged 10 and 14. I struggled with my weight most of my adult life but after my 2nd pregnancy and getting the news that she had a long-term illness (Cystic Fibrosis) I really lost myself and piled on the weight.

Consistency and accountability are what helped me! Eating in a calorie deficit and allowing myself flexibility is what makes it sustainable – an all or nothing approach did not work for me as I always failed and felt deprived.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I exercise 3 times per week, walk for 30 mins every day and follow Shape My Plan meal plans. I make myself accountable each day by checking in and this really helps. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve tried every diet out there. Only when I learned how my portions looked and how many calories I allowed myself each day is when the weight started coming off and stayed off.. I now make better choices with my food and lifestyle and have lost over 3 stone!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I also have over 18 years of experience in retail, I was marketing manager for a large pharmacy group where I managed many aspects of the groups’ commercial plans. Since my daughters diagnosis, I am now on the board of directors with Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and the founder and chairperson of Cystic Fibrosis Dublin West Branch where I have been affiliated with raising over €300,000.
