We sit a lot. We sit when we drive, we sit watching tv, we sit at work, we sit while eating !! We need to move to burn off the calories we consume during the day. If we sit for the majority of the day these calories are not getting burned off.
We all need to add additional movement into our days so how do we move more & feel great.
We can try to this by taking the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator, ride your bike to work, walk to the shop instead of driving, get off public transit a stop early, or walking around the room while talking on the phone.
If you have a step tracker our aim should be to hit at least 10,000 steps per day. Going for a walk has many benefits so try and fit a walk in during the day if you need a bit of motivation maybe get a friend to go with you. You can also increase your movement/steps may be by getting a walk in on your way to work, during your lunch break, or in the evening before you sit down for the night.
